What a lazy Sunday I have had! All I have really done today is grocery shopping and chilling out...LOL. What a lazy girl I am!!!!
My bookclub dinner all turned out as planned and from everyones feedback was yummy. We have decided to do something a little different for next month and have movieclub instead. So we are going to see "Australia" and go out for dinner to discuss the movie afterwards. Sounds like fun!
Saturday Matt and I went to Frankston to but him some new basketball boots ($$$$) then went to the city for lunch. We were going to go visit the new Spotlight in Frankston, but we drove past and it was soooooo busy we decided to leave it for another day.
I did have lunch today with my friend who is 26 week pregnant and looking gorgeous! I cant wait to meet the little bub....10 weeks to go as she is being delivered about 36 weeks.
Hope you all had a good weekend too and got lots of relaxation done.

Cryptic messages
Ive also recently learnt that messing with my little sisters head is fun. You all know now how people change their status on Facebook to reflect what they are feeling/thinking?? Well, some people write obvious things like : "Amy is tired this week as work is really busy and I'm a bit over it." But Ive now found its more fun to write things like "Amy is over it" Then wait a few hours or so and wait for the enquiries to begin....why are you tired? whats wrong? did something happen at work?? You should see the enquires I get if I write something as crazy and out there as "Amy is good!" Whoa!!!!! LOL
Not much to report over the weekend. Spent quite a bit of time chilling out. We caught up with friends Saturday night for dinner which was nice. Then, a spot of shopping on Sunday.
This Friday I have bookclub. This month it is at my house and we are discussing "Damage" by Cathy Glass.
Here is whats on the menu for the evening -
Entree - Fresh pasta (made by me) rotolo (with ricotta, tomato, spinach and herbs rolled up in it) with a butter and thyme sauce.
Main - Chicken parmigana with potatoes and salad.
Dessert - Chocolate pavlova with whipped cream and mixed berries.
Hopefully that's got your taste buds tingling!
Ill leave you with another cryptic message...
"Amy is happy"

Wireless baby!
I don't know about the rest of you, but I've completely fallen head over heels in love with blogging from the warmth and comfort of my lovely bed! How fun! I really can't understand why nobody told me about this sooner...LOL.
Had a really quiet day at work today and had that song in my head by Metro Station - Shake it.
"Shake shake shake shake shake it!"
I think I drove the other office girls comletely insane singing it all day. It must have been pretty bad for them considering they asked me to google the words to the song so I could at least sing it properly rather than just humming the tune and singing the one and only line I know. Ha ha ha.
Megan texted me the coolest picture last night of her belly....soooo big already and she is only 14weeks. LOL. Thats probably because her stomach was almost a negative size before it started growing.
Thats all from me for now.
Miss you all!

Hello old friends!
Hey there all my old friends....it's been a while!!
I hardly ever seem to get online anymore....not thru lack of trying. Our home computer has been dying in the ass for a long time now and usually just lets me online long enough to do some banking then freezes or just dies. Then even if work hadn't been so busy and I had of had time to blog at work, they have blocked all the exciting sites like fac.ebook, and most blog sites. Doh!
At them moment I am blogging live from Apollo Bay...thank god for wi-fi. And once I get home I will be getting my new laptop and wirless...yay!
In the news front, heres a summary of the past few months since I blogged.....
* My sister megan is pregnant so I will be an aunty in April 2009...Yay!
* Work, work, work, work!
* Gym, gym, gym!
* Got a new Camera....Canon EOS 400D. I love love love love it. Takes the best photos even for a loser like me who so far only uses it on auto...LOL. Im planning to do a photography course with my mum once she gets hers cos she loves mine so much.
* No news on the baby front for me and Matt yet, but Im sure it will happen soon enough.
* The MIGHTY HAWKS won the Grand Final. I had tickets to the game which we were lucky enough to get in the ballot. Standing room, but was great to be there. We got there at 7am so we could get to the front of the standing area (well, I am short!) and were on our feet until 9.30pm. Ouch!
Ill go now, but Ill leave you with some pics from the new camera.....

Oh, and try to get there a bit early (not like me who got there just in time) and try to grab oyurself a green cocktail that comes in an awesome green cocktail martini glass that flashes greeen....really cool!
Matt has been away all of last week in Sydney setting up WYD SYD08, and came back home for the weekend, then back to Sydney again to pack it all up. A very big task as you can imagine if you had seen any of the event on TV this week. I miss him so much while he is away as I have said before.......can't wait til you get back again on Friday Matt!
Lastly, sending out my love to Connie. Stay strong sweetie.....we are all thinking of you and sending our love and thoughts. xxx
have a good week.

Just keep swimming.......
Hey there all!
I'm still alive....yes, really! Thanks for those who asked.
Work, gym, sleep (not enough) is my life currently. Nothing exciting has even been happening.
My footy team...the Hawks....have been going really well, and Matt and I are members this year, so have been trying to go to as many games as possible.
Work is very busy as usual, with lots of bubs who are very sick. I have been working lots of overtime.
I have done no scrapping, so am looking forward to getting some done soon. Im afraid that even if I had time, I have no ideas or inspiration at the moment.
I'm getting a new car in July........fantastic deal through dads work which will mean I get a new car every 10,000kms which is about 6months for me. Any car, any colour, as long as its a Nissan...LOL. I feel very lucky to have the chance to do this.
Gilly is good. He is up to the 2nd highest level at dog school and can now sit, drop, stand, come and heel on command. He can sit and stay for about 10mins. He is still learning to come and return to the heel position immediately though which is a bit trickier. Most of his stuff is done on a 7m long lead to prepare him for the next level which is off lead stuff. Its quite hilarious watching me and Gil get tangled up in the long lead as we try really hard to do things right.
Matt is good and we seem to be spending quite a bit of time together despite our busy work and social schedules which is great. It seems like we are getting along better than we ever have before in the 14 years we have been together which is sooooo nice.
Matt went to Sydeny for work for a week last month. I hate when he goes away and he knows this, so in the middle of his trip, he send me a massive box of Roses Only flowers to my work as a surprise. They were red and yellow tulips (roses only?!?!) and in the bottom of the box was a scented candle, box of choccies, massage oil and pot pourri sachet. Soooo sweet!!! xx
Hmmmm, I think thats all I have to say at the moment, except to say hi to all my Dolly friends that I havent seen for AGES!!!!! I miss you all!

Blah, Blah, Blah!
What on earth has happened to my life????
I no longer seem to have any spare time......to scrap, nor do anything else. I guess I shouldn't complain. My life is full of lots of fun and exciting times this year. Lots of things happening each and every day, and I couldn't be happier.
Work is bus, busy as usual. My students first lot of exams are coming up, so I am busy preparing them for those, and starting their second round of case studies. The ward is overflowing as usual. Far to many sick babies for my liking. Speaking of babies, one of my dear colleagues had her baby at just 31 weeks last week. She is lucky to have her being looked after in the nursery where we work. Little Isabel is very cute and is doing very well. What a blessing to be a part of this with my friend and her family. Isabel will probably be in the nursery for many weeks to come, so my friend is lucky to be surrounded by her colleagues and friends every day to help her through this journey.
My hubby, friends and I went to a wedding last Saturday of another friend of ours. This particular friend who was getting married is a very inspirational person. At the age of 17, she was struck by meninngicoccal meningitis, and lost both of her legs and most of her fingers. It was very exciting to see her walking down the aisle (with her prosthetic legs of course). Also very excited for her and her new hubby Mark, as they are 20 weeks pregnant with their first child. Yay!
The reception was lots of fun. It was at a winery and lets just say that there should be a law against topping up someones drink before it is empty. It's very hard to keep track of how much you have had!! LOL.
Most of you would know my best friend Melinda, and remember how long her hair is........or should I say was!!!!! She has had it all chopped off to donate to charity to make a wig for a kid with cancer. How awesome is that?!?! Even more awesome is how cool Mel looks with her new do...it really suits her!
I would show you some pics, but blogger aint playing nice, so you will have to wait.
I think thats about all I have to say for today.
Take care.

Thank goodness for that!!!
Matt and I had a lovely weekend away for our anniversary last weekend. As always, the weekend went way too fast, but it was nice to get away. Usually when we go away, we arrive home to some kind of crisis....

The picture is of Mel Newtons hubby the moring after our christmas party in 2007. He and Mel crashed at our place after the party as they were far to tipsy to drive, but couldn't go home until well into the afternoon as david kept running to the loo. LOL. He looked like crap!
After our NZ trip in 2006, Matt was without a job for 4 months.
After our trip to Tassie in 2007, we had an $8000 stamp duty bill waiting for us when we got home.
Needless to say, I was holding my breath most of the trip home, but for once, life was kind to us and nothing dramatic had happened. Yay! Maybe life is looking up for us for once.
Work was a shocker this week! I spent most of the week helping staff look after one little baby in particular, as she was so sick and you really needed 2 nurses to care for her most of the time. Unfortunately, on Friday, after a week of lots of resuscitation and many painful procedures and despite our best efforts to keep her alive, the little girl passed away. RIP little bub.
I managed to do a little scrapping on the easter long weekend.........

My little research project at work is still going along nicely, but it wont be finished in time ot enter an abstract to the conference in France....so no trip for me. :-( However, I do owe Karen a prize still. I havn't forgotten, but still waiting for her address.
Have a nice week everyone. Hopefully mine is a little less cahotic! LOL.

Happy Anniversary to Us!
Firstly, sorry I haven't posted for a while. Life just keeps getting in the way. I have had no urge to post over the last few weeks as I have not had much to say.
This Saturday 29th March is my 5 year wedding anniversary. We are going for a long weekend at a resort in Lakes Enterance. I cant wait! We havn't been away just the two of us of years. (We usually go away with friends!)
Matt and I started "going out" on March 29th, 1994.
We became engaged on March 29th, 2001.
We married on March 29th, 2003.
On March 29th 2008, Matt and I have been together for 14 years!
Needless to say that March 29th is a very special date for Matt and I. I love Matt today even more than I did 14 years ago when our relationship started, and our love grows each day.
I love you Matt. XX
On the topic of the court case. ALthough it was a class action, one couple had to have their name on the case. This lovely couple have fought the fight for all the rest of us right from the start, and I cant speak highly enogh of them.
The day before the court case, they recieved death threats. Then the wife from the couple were bullied and harrased from day one in court. In the end, they decided to withdraw from the case, in order to save themselves, their family and their house (if they lost, they owuld have been bankrupt!). So, unless someone else steps up to put their name to the class action by April 30th, its all over. On top of that, part of their withdrawl from the case means that our lawyers can no longer represent any other parties in this case. :-(
We are looking at other alternatives now, such as VCAT. I dont really care about the money any more, but I think that LJ Hooker should have to pay in some way, shape or form. Once again, my faith in life in general has been shattered. How can human beings treat each other in such a way? What scum!
(Sorry everyone for my ranting!)
I have a cold at the moment and am feeling very average. Hopefully it goes away soon.
Hope all my PD buddies are well. Miss you all. xx
